The suggested changes to the suspension policies are rooted in a review and recommendation from the Committee on Academic Standing. It went from them to the UAAC.

I would like to see a written report from the committee on academic standing regarding the changes to the suspension policies. They are the academic committee on the front lines regarding these policies

I am a member of UBAC and am opposed to the addition of a student rep on UBAC. This is a faculty committee, answering to UFC. Students have their own committee organizations to offer input into the university’s direction. Thank you.

Comment on UFAGC Draft Revisions for Section 5.8 of Faculty Handbook by Helen Housley

Dear Faculty Colleagues,
The University Faculty Appeals and Grievances Committee has submitted a motion to the UFC proposing changes to the Faculty Grievance process as outlined in Section 5.8 of the Faculty Handbook. These revisions primarily deal with timeline issues of the Faculty Grievance process and do not substantially alter the grievance process itself. The UFAGC requests that you review these revisions and comment upon them prior to the next UFC meeting on March 24, 2015.

How much flexibility is available for faculty who agree to serve on the reallocation committees? For instance, could someone who has already scheduled a research trip that covers part of the summer be part of the process, just missing meetings as needed?
